Gant, Regent Street Store - window display

I was involved with the install for Gant at Regent Street Store with Elemental. It was nice to go back there as it gave me the chance to say hello to the guys I used to work for and have the opportunity to see the new stock.

I helped fixing the large wooden blinds (background) to the wall, touching up and placing the furniture into the window.

Freelance Work

Due to finishing my temporary contract with Gant I decided to head back to Elemental and work freelance..Whoop!!!

Gant, Regent Street Store- Visual Merchandiser

I worked with Gant before and over christmas at the Flagship Store and Head Office.

My job involved internal displays, outfit decisions, dressing, accessorizing mannequins. This would be presented on each of the floors including menswear, womenswear, homewear and kidswear.

Older Libertys project 2010

This Liberty's Project was produced and installed at the end of last year by Elemental. We installed these poly tress which were connected to pillars with long structured branches connected to the ceiling with leave garlands draping from them. Due to not having the photos I have managed to grab them from work, so hope you like them. I was involved with this night install which took all night but was a success and Liberty's loved the outcome.

When I have a spare 10 minutes I will update my blog with all my projects and work which I have been involved with over christmas. This will be including Gant Visual Merchandising - Gant Regent st store, Gant Head Office (Knightsbridge) and a Liberty's and Mulberry projects.

The Brewery

It's been a busy time for me over the Christmas period with window installs.

Before Christmas I got involved with a project called 'The Brewery' with Elemental. I helped wrap and fix water laser-cut garlands to lights which were made by scratch. Each one had to be individually checked and had to be wrapped which could be then sent off.

At the beginning of this project I had to source into what shiny materials would work well on this handmade frog. Purchased in sequins, crystals & diamontes, then me, lucy had the opportunity to decorate the frog which we covered in shiny bling!!!

Elemental took part in Ely's Christmas window display (Brixton & Wimbledon) where I had the opportunity to paint the Christmas trees and help with the plinths.

Liberty's- Atrium pod

Beginning of September Elemental Design installed these magnificent pods into the atrium at Liberty. They were inspired by Manolo Blahnik's new collection, and his shop in Liberty.

I had the opportunity with Elemental to get involved with 'Life is the Occasion' for L K Bennett. I helped out with sourcing and purchasing. Also got to cover and paint books, which then I sorted into piles, packed up for the different stores around London.

Original Penguin- Covent Garden

During this project I took part in sourcing, purchasing, preparing and installing at one of the stores in Covent Garden for Elemental. If you have time maybe go and have a look...nice satchel bags!!! Ha ha!

Selfridges-150th Anniversary of Chopard: Limitied addition watches

01-07-10 Elemental were commissioned by Chopard to create showcases for the Selfridges Wonder Rooms. It was to celebrate 150th anniversary of Chopard, which release a limited edition of 15 watches, each based on an animals..really cute but full of diamontes.

I helped out sourcing the materials, preparing and installing. As a company each of us had to make paper origami which would be included in the display's. This install was overnight with the watches included into the display...worth £35,000 each...WOW!!

Project one: Elemental Design- Helped produce the artwork (suitcase) for the centre of the display which stood against coloured tubes. During the project I helped out vinyl these tubes which were in the store window and also inside the store to place product on.

My work placement was for 1 week doing nightshifts at Topshop

Helping with the mirror wall and re-covering the floor

Painting all walls. Followed by drilling, placing small tiles (that were

covered in sequins) which were placed on the wall

Helped folding individual pages in books, which were then put up on the display

Dressing Mannequins:

Each group of mannequins around the store are in sections with the different trends

Finding jewellery & accessories that goes with this trend

Help putting the clothes out and stacking jeans on the shelfs above the clothes

Placing boxes, shoes & accessories all together on the shelf for maternity,

making it look attractive and pretty

New range of clothes came into Topshop. Helped with the unpacking, set up and layout.

Positioning these large structures & shelves into place. Also fixing and screwing these loose acrylic

sheets on the variouse large structures.
